Tea Anti-Ceremony with Tata Frenkel _October 25
€46.00
You are invited to a taste a curated selection of Taiwanese Oolong teas in our Anti-Ceremony tea session.
October 25, 15:00 - 17:00 | Asaba - feminist art space, Gerosios Vilties str. 5, Vilnius |
What is Anti-Ceremony?
It is a format of deliberate rejection of tranquility, inversion of symbolism with inspiring conversation. Meant for meeting and celebrating natural spontaneity of movements and words. We taste too much and maybe go too far with it. Take it as a fun tea tasting filled with facts and lies, devianation and impractical solutions. Humorous and terribly serious. Storytelling and lists of number sequences prepared by Tata. Perhaps, anti-ceremony sessions is something that wasn’t rushed for years, required time and patience and finally we can meet for numerous cups of tea, beware that we’ll have only 8 seats available.
Join our delusional tea sessios, let’s throw some weight from the shoulders and smile stupidly, I guess.
What teas we will be tasting?
A selection of Taiwanese High Mountain Oolong teas and at least two GABA Oolong varieties, featuring harvest of Summer and Spring 2025. The selection also highlights charcoal-roasted High Mountain Oolongs. Our focus is on exploring the natural sweetness in the taste and aroma profiles of Oolong teas – an expression shaped by various altitudes, location, roasting techniques, oxidation, in some cases leafhopper (bug-bitten) influence, diverse farming methods, and the distinctive characteristics of cultivars and plants.
