Lecture / Tea tasting with Jan Glöckner _ November 9

“Expanding cups of water”

€20.00

You are invited to a new lecture about mineral composition in water and sensory characteristics of minerality in tea – an exploration of broader water perception through a session of tea tasting.

November 9, 15:00 - 16:30

Asaba - feminist art space, Gerosios Vilties str. 5, Vilnius

During the lecture/tea tasting, Jan will compose mineral-water solutions using pre-extracted salts from various mineral waters acquired in Lithuania. For example, from Birštonas water sources.

Different water compositions will be used for preparing a selection of Puerh and Taiwanese GABA Oolong teas. Participants will be invited to taste teas in a communal gong fu tea session.

Along the tasting and experimenting, Jan will speak about salts, their influence on taste and metabolism, as well as interaction between minerals and tea leaves.

Lecture will present informative, tangible and creative view points regarding mundane and poetic matters of water, as well as exploration of the sensory world that we live in.
