Tea loves time

Guided Dialogue between Natural Wine & Oolong Tea

1-of-a-kind sensory experience

1-of-a-kind sensory experience with 3 educators.

You’re invited to a rare tasting where we will explore the intersection of two traditions – two very distinct drinks: Natural Wine and Premium Oolong tea.

Both being purely nature’s bounty, they offer some intertwined storylines to explore and taste. Terroir, plant, tannins, oxidation, aging, precision and spontaneity.

Both also encourage us to gather around the table and engage in conversation, exchange of ideas. Narrative-driven tasting will be educational and multisensory with contrasting sips of wine and gong fu tea preparation.

How do these things go together, you may ask… Well that’s something worth finding out.

We’ll taste 4 different natural wines and 4 different oolong teas and explore how we experience each in the comfort of Adata Bar’s private room. Starting at 7pm so that you could plan to grab a snack at Adata beforehand or after. All might very likely result in a vinyl afterparty downstairs.

During the session, you will be guided by 3 educators who are avid storytellers, whose experience goes way beyond wine or tea knowledge – they are professionals in communications, arts, design and more:

Ieva Elvyra - communications specialist and wine storyteller, who is creating bespoke and non-snob wine experiences as a founder of GliuGliu.lt

Tata Frenkel – artist, musician, lecturer and a founder of experimental educational platform “Chaiculator” where non-traditional gong fu tea process meets science and contemporary art.

Jan Glöckner - artist and researcher, currently a doctoral candidate at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Research interest - choreographic potential of fungi and humans with a focus on biotechnology, deep tank fermentation, radio and dance.

Event is held in English.
